“Mentha x Piperita” is a hybrid of Mentha aquatica (water mint) and Mentha spicata (spearmint). It has a very minty, fresh aroma and flavor with sweet and slightly spicy notes. This is the most commonly used mint for medicinal purposes, as well as in the chewing gum, toothpaste, and cosmetics industries.
Peppermint helps relieve digestive discomfort and has antiseptic and analgesic properties.
The leaves can be used fresh or dried.
Its infusion is particularly refreshing, and it pairs perfectly with all kinds of chocolate.
Fresh leaves are used to flavor drinks, salads, sauces, sweets, and ice cream.
