It contains about 70% essential citral oil, which is also found in lemon and orange peels. Lemongrass is primarily used to soothe digestive issues, calm the nervous system, and can also serve as a natural insect repellent. Additionally, it has analgesic, antidepressant, and antibacterial properties.
