FLOR DE SAL / THE SALT FLOWER
Salmarim Flor de Sal is hand-harvested and packaged in the Sapal Nature Reserve in Castro Marim. The salt crystals are delicate, voluminous, and appear dry, forming fine and irregular pieces that can be gently crumbled by hand without resistance or clumping.

SALMARIM has been certified by SATIVA and Nature & Progrès — Portuguese and French organizations that ensure all products and processes are entirely handcrafted, produced manually from solar salt pans using ocean water, and completely free from any sources of contamination or pollution. This certification is equivalent and comparable to that given to products classified as organically produced.

A reusable salt shaker made from natural Portuguese cork preserves the integrity of the Fleur de Sel. It features a minimalist and modern design that suits any kitchen. This innovative cork packaging, registered with IGAC as an element of intellectual property, was a finalist in the IFE World Food Innovation Awards 2015.
