DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION

NATIVE OLIVE OIL WITH NATURAL GARLIC AROMAS
A high-quality and flavorful olive oil, elegant and harmonious in taste. Produced from traditional olive varieties of the Douro region.
The slightly bitter and spicy aftertaste is a mark of quality for a good and healthy olive oil. The oil is obtained from the first cold pressing, carefully and mechanically extracted at low temperatures (below 27°C). It comes from the Douro region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s first officially demarcated wine region.

TASTE
Medium-fruity, well-balanced flavor with a subtle hint of garlic.

CULTIVATION / PRODUCTION
Casa Agrícola Rui Batel uses only carefully selected olives, hand-harvested and cold-pressed on the same day. The traditional production methods of our ancestors are respected, using only the resources that nature provides, without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, while honoring natural cycles. This process allows us to produce one of the finest organic extra virgin olive oils.
RUI BATEL

WHO WE ARE
“We are producers from the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Portugal. In 2010, Mr. Rui Batel founded a small company in Almendra, a village in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa in the Douro Superior region, dedicated to olive oil production. His goal was to create high-quality olive oil from the best olives using traditional methods. Since then, this family business has remained true to that philosophy, naturally evolving toward organic production.”
